In her DANCE CLASSES, SUMMER INTENSIVES and through BIG BANG – the contemporary dance program she leads in Montréal — Stéphanie Decourteille shares her movement technique and distinctive choreographic language. She works closely with dancers, circus artists, actors, and other physically engaged performers, guiding them in developing new technical tools, deepening their embodied awareness, and cultivating lasting artistic maturity. Stéphanie also serves as a CREATIVE CONSULTANT, accompanying multidisciplinary artists throughout their creative process and supporting the development of their projects from research to performance.
About Stéphanie
In Montreal, in 2018, the artist and dance teacher Stéphanie Decourteille established BIG BANG acontemporary dance program. The following year, she co-founded ESPACE OUVERT, an organization that supports artists in various forms of movement. With a background in professional ballet and contemporary dance, and a career spanning over twenty-five years as a performer, choreographer, and trainer on both local and international platforms, Stéphanie focuses on the growth of both professional and pre-professional artists in fields such as dance, circus, theater, and performance. In her various capacities as an artistic director, creative advisor, and movement instructor, she is dedicated to recognizing diverse approaches, enhancing skills, and fostering all forms of artistic expression.

REGISTRATION
SUMMER INTENSIVE 2026
The 2026 Summer Intensive will take place from July to August, featuring classes and workshops in contemporary dance, floorwork, acro dance, hip-hop, electro, balance, breaking, improvisation, and more. The detailed schedule and dates will be announced in January 2026.
