In her DANCE CLASSES and in her INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS, as well as in BIG BANG – an intensive training offer in Montreal, Stéphanie Decourteille shares her technique of contemporary dance and her choreographic language. She works with artists (dancers, circus artists, comedians, etc.) and helps them to acquire new technical tools and full artistic maturity. Stéphanie also serves as a creative consultant, providing guidance and support to multidisciplinary artists in their creation.
About Stéphanie
In Montreal, in 2018, the artist and dance teacher Stéphanie Decourteille established BIG BANG acontemporary dance program. The following year, she co-founded ESPACE OUVERT, an organization that supports artists in various forms of movement. With a background in professional ballet and contemporary dance, and a career spanning over twenty-five years as a performer, choreographer, and trainer on both local and international platforms, Stéphanie focuses on the growth of both professional and pre-professional artists in fields such as dance, circus, theater, and performance. In her various capacities as an artistic director, creative advisor, and movement instructor, she is dedicated to recognizing diverse approaches, enhancing skills, and fostering all forms of artistic expression.

AUDITIONS
BIG BANG - SPRING 2025
Program #17 will take place from March 2 to May 24, 2026, offering four days of classes and workshops each week — Monday through Thursday — and an open studio day on Sundays for personal exploration and creation. Applications for auditions are open until November 15, 2025.
REGISTRATION
SUMMER INTENSIVE 2026
The 2026 Summer Intensive will take place from July to August, featuring classes and workshops in contemporary dance, floorwork, acro dance, hip-hop, electro, balance, breaking, improvisation, and more. The detailed schedule and dates will be announced in January 2026.
